Becoming an HCNA Member

is an affordable way for residents to help keep property values up and maintain the great quality of life we all enjoy in Hunters Creek. Your annual membership payment of $85, when combined with payments from your neighbors and lots of volunteer labor, keeps the neighborhood attractive, residents informed about events and helps encourage a spirit of community.

For example, each year we spend about $10,000 of your membership fees to pay for services related to maintaining the common areas, including water, electricity, and landscape services. Managed by volunteers, these services ensure the perimeter wall area, main entrance and other public areas are attractive and well-maintained.

Another $20,000 is spent each year to provide other services, including neighborhood security patrols by off-duty law enforcement personnel; this website; a Community Newsletter; and a Community Directory. Note that all of these services (except for the security patrols) are also managed by volunteers, so we leverage Hunters Creek manpower to reduce the cost of delivering these services to you.

Finally, we need at least 350 of the 611 households in Hunters Creek to pay their Membership fee every year, or we will have to reduce or eliminate services. Of course, we want every resident to see the value and benefits the Association is providing and all 611 homes to consider supporting the Association.  Please reach out to any of the Board Members listed on the Contact Us tab if you have questions or concerns about how the money is spent or questions about the pros and cons. Some more details:

  • Membership is open to all Hunters Creek residents (both owners and lessees)
  • Membership year is May 1st through April 30th (memberships expire on April 30)
  • Membership is $85 per home per year, and we send reminders in the Newsletter in February and April each year, requesting payment before the end of April
  • Note the Membership fee is the same regardless of what month you join or pay; because most expenses are fixed, we do not offer prorated payments or refunds
  • However, if you pay in Jan/Feb/Mar we will count you as a Member immediately, but also apply your payment to the full year starting May 1st
  • Note that only paid-up Members are entitled to vote in the Board of Directors elections during the Annual Meeting in April each year
  • While there can be two Members listed per household, there is only one vote per home address, and we collect only one fee per address

New to the neighborhood? Start here.

If you have received a Newsletter, look in the February or April issue for a combined Neighborhood Association and Swim and Racquet Club form with instructions and an envelope with our mailing address. You can follow those instructions and mail your check as described above to one or both organizations, or you can mail the Membership form in and then Pay Online via credit card or bank draft, using the Stripe link above.

Or reach out to our Hunters Creek Welcome Committee

(see Contact Us tab for info) and one of our volunteers will connect up with you and deliver a New Neighbors packet that will include a lot of information about the area.  And the combined Neighborhood Association (HCNA) and Swim & Racquet Club (HCSRC) application form will be included.

Or you can just download the form (here) and fill out the applicable portions to join either or both of the organizations and mail with your check(s) to the address above. Or mail the Membership form in and then Pay Online via credit card or bank draft, using the Stripe link above.

We encourage you to consider joining and supporting both organizations, as this is the best way to get the full “Hunters Creek effect” and get to meet your neighbors. Just note they are separate non-profits and have different membership processes and fees, but each will accept payments for the other, if this works better for the Member.

After the form and payment are processed by the Membership Committee you will be added to the Association’s email distribution list for announcements, etc. If desired, you can also be added to the Monthly Newsletter distribution list. Please allow up to 14 days for processing of your application.

Consider Making a Donation to HCNA.

Many residents make an additional donation when paying the annual Membership fee by checking a box and adding the additional amount. But you can actually donate at any time by simply mailing a check to the same address listed above. If there is a special project or effort you want to support, you should note it on the memo line of the check.

Or make a Donation using Stripe.

This new feature of our website can also be used to make a one-time donation.  As always, please reach out to a Board Member if you have a question or problem getting any of this to work for you.

Please direct any questions or comments
